How it works
Contribution in.
Merchandise out.
Three numbers run this platform, and they are deliberately kept apart. This page explains each one and exactly what moves them.
From quest to doorstep.
Four steps. Only one of them happens on our side, and it is done by a person.
- 01
Earn XP
Take part in RedStone community quests and build up your Zealy XP.
- 02
Submit for verification
Send us your Zealy username, rank and current XP. A person checks it.
- 03
Unlock tiers
Verified XP raises your lifetime total and unlocks tiers permanently.
- 04
Redeem rewards
Spend your Merch XP balance on the collection your tier has opened.
Three numbers, never mixed.
Conflating these is the one thing that would break the model, so the platform keeps them in separate columns from the database up.
Your spendable balance
Merch XP
What you redeem merchandise with. It goes down when you order and comes back if an order is cancelled and refunded.
Your permanent record
Lifetime verified XP
The running total of everything ever verified from Zealy. It decides which tiers you have unlocked, and it never decreases.
What is left to claim
Claimable XP
Your current Zealy total minus what has already been verified. This is the amount you can request right now.
The claim calculation
Whenever you submit a request, this is the sum the server runs - and it runs it again, from your stored lifetime total, at the moment an administrator approves.
Current Zealy XP
30,000
What you report
Lifetime verified XP
20,000
Already credited
Claimable XP
10,000
What you can request
Worked example. Report 30,000 Zealy XP with 20,000 already verified and 10,000 is claimable. Claim it, and your lifetime total becomes 30,000. So the same figure submitted again claims nothing.
What moves, and what does not.
- 01
Approved XP becomes spendable
When an administrator approves a request, the amount is added to your Merch XP balance and to your lifetime verified total at the same moment, in a single database transaction.
- 02
Spending never touches your lifetime total
Redeeming merchandise draws down your Merch XP balance only. Your lifetime verified XP is the record of what you earned, not what you have left, so it stays where it is.
- 03
Tiers unlock permanently
Reaching a threshold records the unlock against your account with the date and the XP you held. Nothing removes that record - not spending, not a refund, not a later change to the threshold.
- 04
The same XP cannot be claimed twice
Because approved XP is folded into your lifetime total, submitting the same Zealy figure again computes a claimable amount of zero. Only genuinely new XP is claimable.
- 05
A rejected request tells you why
If the team cannot verify what you submitted, the request is rejected with a message from the reviewer. You will see that message on your XP requests page and in your notifications.
Worked example
- Verified Zealy XP
- 30,000
- Lifetime verified
- 30,000
- Merch XP balance
- 30,000
After spending 25,000
- Verified Zealy XP
- 30,000
- Lifetime verified
- 30,000
- Merch XP balance
- 5,000
Only the spendable balance moved. Every tier reached at 30,000 is still unlocked.

Verification
A person checks your Zealy profile. Every time.
There is no Zealy API integration in this platform, by design. You submit your Zealy username, rank and current XP; a member of the RedStone team opens your profile, compares it, and approves or rejects the request with a message. Approvals typically follow the queue, so the first request after a big earning push is worth submitting early.
